Hiking in Lemmenjoki National Park

Hiking trip to Lemmenjoki National Park with the opportunity to visit the park’s information center. You can choose between two routes:
Lemmenjoki Nature Trail (4.5 km): Starts in Njurkulahti and follows the course of the Lemmenjoki River. At the beginning of the trail, you’ll find old reindeer hunting pits and ridge formations. After a few kilometers, the trail turns east and winds through rolling pine forests back to its starting point. There are fire pits and information boards along the way.
Joenkielinen Loop (18 km): This route begins in Njurkulahti, heading toward Joenkielinen Fell, where breathtaking views of Lemmenjoki National Park and Hammastunturi Wilderness Area await at the summit. On the return to Njurkulahti, the route follows the Lemmenjoki River. Along the trail, there are four fire pits and a traditional Lappish hut (lapinkota).
